Qin Zhou joined the CSCSE- SQA HND (AD) Programmes in September 2004 and was one of the first batch of Business Subject Lecturer in China. Over the past 20 years, Qin has held a variety of roles: 

as a Graded Units 1 instructor since 2005; a continuous contributor to teaching programmes for new units; 

she produced 31 assessment papers for 12 unit courses previously verified and accepted by SQA(Scottish Qualifications Authority) was appointed by CSCSE (Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange) to deliver a presentation on Successful Delivery Methods (student-centred) Used for HND Programmes to the SQA Executive Management Team at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SHUFE) in February 2005, and was appointed as an in-country external verifier from 2007 to 2015 by SQA.

In addition, she won a nationwide class demonstration competition, the event of which was organised by CSCSE-Yinhong in May 2008; was awarded 8 times as International Education College, SUFE best teacher of the semester and 4 times as annual ideal teacher; and was awarded the CSCSE-SQA Advanced Diploma Programmes Excellent Teacher by CSCSE-Yinhong in 2021.

Qin Zhou was invited by the SQA to deliver a presentation entitled Shanghai University of Finance and Economics: Sharing Good Practice at the Looking Back, Moving Forward Professional Development Conference China 2024 and received recognition for excellence, as shown on the SQA official website: It was an excellent presentation demonstrating good practice and the value of peer-learning and sharing support.
